Every signed-up account gets 600 CPU credits per month of full REST API access — no credit card required. Credits renew every calendar month (non-rolling: unused credits do not carry over, and the balance does not accumulate month to month). Upgrade to a paid plan any time for a higher monthly allowance and, on Professional and Enterprise, priority processing.
Create a free accountNeed a one-time top-up instead of a recurring plan? Credit packs are a one-time purchase, never expire, and stack on top of any plan (including the free tier) — they are only spent after your monthly plan or free-tier credits run out.
Sign up or sign in, then buy credit packs from your billing dashboard.
VideoComposer uses a credit-based model where one credit equals one second of processing time, rounded up. Credits are consumed based on actual server processing time — not the duration of your video or the size of the file. A 10-second trim of a 2-hour video costs roughly 10 credits, not thousands.
Typical credit usage by operation (90-day production median):
What that means in minutes: 10,000 credits (Starter) is about 166 minutes of continuous processing time — enough for roughly 3,300 typical trim jobs (~3 credits each) or 1,400 typical convert jobs (~7 credits each) at these production medians. Your effective cost per minute of output video depends on the operation: about $0.015-$0.03 per minute of output for a typical convert job on Starter, and a flat few cents per job for trim regardless of length.
Fair, metered billing: credits are deducted after a job completes, based on the actual server processing time measured for that job — never a flat per-minute rate or an estimate based on your video's length or file size.
All browser tools are permanently free with no watermark and no account required (up to 5 jobs per 24 hours). A free account adds full API access with 600 credits/month, no card required — upgrade to Starter ($14.99/month) or above for higher volume and, on Professional and Enterprise, priority processing. Yearly plans grant the full annual credit balance up front when you subscribe (12x the monthly amount) rather than the monthly figure shown on the plan card above — credits still reset at renewal and do not roll over further.
